Soon ,State Bank Of India to launch Mobile Wallet Batua

New Delhi:  State Bank of India (SBI), the nation's largest lender is soon going to launch wallet services for feature phone users, as per a report in a national business newspaper.

According to the Economic Times, SBI Batua will be launched next month and the “service will be available to existing as well as non-SBI customers”.

Those using Java-enabled mobile phones can benefit from the service.

The paper, quoting anonymous sources said that “customers can log into sbi.co.in and download Batua on their desktop and load the app on their phone.”

It may be recalled that SBI, in August, had launched a mobile wallet app, SBI Buddy, in collaboration with Accenture and Mastercard. The service is available to existing as well as non-SBI customers.

The mobile wallet app can be used to send money to new and registered customers, book for movies, flights, hotels as well as for shopping. It also has features like reminders to settle dues, recharge and pay bills instantly.
