Going alongside the major recruiting bodies of the country, State Bank of India (SBI) is also likely to make Aadhaar number mandatory for all recruitment processes.
NEW DELHI: Going alongside the major recruiting bodies of the country, State Bank of India (SBI) is also likely to make Aadhaar number mandatory for all recruitment processes. The proposal will most probably be implemented from 1 July 2017. 'State Bank of India (SBI) propose to introduce the scheme of verifying the identity of candidates applying for all its recruitment processes through Aadhaar cards w.e.f. 1 st July 2017,' reads the official notification released by the biggest nationalized banks of the country.
SBI Recruitment 2017: Guidelines For Applicants
Provide your Aadhaar number (12 digit number usually; alternatively Aadhaar enrolment ID can be given in case candidate has applied for the number but has not received yet)
Applicants from the States of Jammu & Kashmir, Meghalaya and Assam can use the usual ID proofs (but as specified in the SBI job notification), instead of Aadhaar
'Ascertaining the identities of candidates is critical for fair conduct of recruitment process and prevention of impersonation.'
SBI recruitment is one of the most sought after options for government job aspirants. Every year, the Bank conducts recruitments and witnesses overwhelming response and receives applications close to 10 times the number of vacancies. By making Aadhaar number mandatory, SBI will ensure a fair and transparent recruitment process by authenticating the identity of candidates.

The State Bank Of India (SBI) issued a notification on Friday for the recruitment of 255 officers in specialised positions for wealth management in the state-run bank on a contract basis.
The notification, CRPD/SCO-WM/2016-17/21, can be viewed in the careers’ section of the SBI’s website.
The selection of candidates for the job will be based on short listing and one or more rounds of personal interview. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their qualification, experience and overall suitability for interview.
The qualifying marks in interviews will be decided by the SBI. The merit list will be prepared in descending order on the basis of scores obtained by candidates in the interview.
The online registration process starts on Friday (March 24) and the last date for registration of application and payment of fees is April 10. Candidates can register online through the bank’s website www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in and pay the fee using a debit card or credit card, internet banking, etc.
A candidate should check eligibility conditions like age, educational qualification and experience for the various positions offered in the notification as they vary from one position to another. A candidate can apply for more than one post separately.
Candidates should ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria for the post they are applying as shortlisting and interview will be provisional without verification of documents.
As the job will be offered on a contract basis, either side can leave it by giving three months’ notice. Selected candidates may be posted in one or more of the following places: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata, Chandigarh and Indore.

NEW DELHI: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has begun the application process for recruitment of Manager (Technical - Civil), Assistant Manager (Rajbhasha), and Assistant Manager (Security). The application form can be filled online on the RBI website till March 16, 2017. RBI will conduct a written test followed by an interview for selection of candidates. The written test will have two papers - objective and descriptive. The exam for both the papers will be conducted on the same day in two separate sessions. The descriptive test could be computer based or paper based.

It is reported that the merger would increase SBI network by 41 per cent to 23,000 branches, while its workforce would increase by 33 per cent to 285,500 employees.What is not being said, however, is how many of these branches will survive the ‘streamlining’ process the bank has already set the dice rolling for. While clear figures may be available only with SBI itself, it is very evident that at least in areas where the subsidiary banks have a strong footprint (like Kerala) many branches will face closures. The question then is, what of the employees at these branches? Presumably, of over 10000-odd branches which would face the axe, a large number of employees will need to be accommodated elsewhere. HYDERABAD: If you want to apply for a job at State Bank of India (SBI), any default on loans or credit card payment will render your ineligible.
SBI, which is in the process of recruiting Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) and Junior Agricultural Associates in clerical cadre, has stipulated that candidates with poor credit record will not be eligible for jobs at the country's largest lender.
According to an advertisement released recently by the public sector lender, candidates against whom there is or are adverse report regarding character and antecedents, moral turpitude are also not eligible to apply for the post.
SBI has advised aspirants to check their credit history with CIBIL before applying for posts in the bank.
Credit Information Bureau Ltd (CIBIL) collects and maintains records of an individual's payments pertaining to loans and credit cards.
"Candidates with record of default in repayment of loans/ credit card dues and/or against whose name adverse report of CIBIL or other external agencies are available are not eligible to apply for the post," SBI said.
The move prompted some bank employee unions to request the banks to exempt students who have availed education loans from such rules.

Objectives:

Pattern of Written Test and Marks: The written test/examination shall be of multiple choice objective
types for 200 marks. The set of question paper should be consisting of 4 parts carrying
50 marks each i.e (1) General knowledge (including General Knowledge of HP),
